Donut Worry - Eat Happy! It's National Donut Day!

Today is National Doughnut Day! That means there are doughnut shops around the country who are just handing out sweet fried deliciousness for free!

National Doughnut Day was established by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the “Doughnut Lassies” who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War 1. After the war was over, the Salvation Army continued to celebrate Doughnut Day to raise funds for the homeless and hungry. 

This is one day sockprints wouldn’t miss celebrating, we have a box of donuts in the break room, and we are even rocking some custom-printed donut socks!

#RockOneSock for America's Missing Children

We learned about #RockOneSock from a customer who asked us to print photos of missing children in America on our no-show socks. We were touched by her story and wanted to hear more. After reaching out to our customer via email and doing some online research about RockOneSock and National Missing Children Day we committed ourselves to wearing one sock on May 25, 2016.

On National Missing Children Day we rocked one sock! We challenge you to post your own “footsie” (foot version of selfie!) on social media, challenge your friends to #rockonesock, or make a donation to support the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

A few numbers about missing kids in America:

• According to the FBI 460,699 reports of missing children were made in 2015

Personalized Cheer Team Competition Socks

Now here’s a fun idea for cheer competition socks! 

We received an order from a customer whose daughter is a competitive cheerleader at Cheer Florida in Coconut Creek, Florida. The Thunderbirds, her daughter’s youth team, won an invitation to The Summit, a prestigious cheer competition in the USA. This great mom created custom printed socks as a gift for the girls to wear when they competed at Disney’s ESPM Wide World of Sports in April 2016 to remind them they have wings and to soar to the top! Pet Photo Friday - FOMO Cameron

It’s Pet-Photo-Friday and time to share another pet photo custom printed on our socks!

We are happy to introduce you to Cameron, this week’s furry friend featured on our full-print no-show socks. Cameron has severe FOMO and doesn’t like to miss out on anything. Pet Photo Friday - Danna's Pet Posse

Pet Photo Friday - Coco

It’s Pet-Photo-Friday and time to share another pet photo custom printed on our socks!

The sockprints team is happy to introduce you to Coco, this week’s favorite custom-printed sock puppy. This pair of photo socks was created as a fun and lighthearted way to remember sweet Coco, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 15. She was a sweet and happy chocolate lab who loved to lounge in the jacuzzi, play ball, and snuggle. Her owner told us “She was a crazy pup, she ate parts of the deck, the one that is in the photo we printed. She also ate a glass thermometer once, which was a fiasco at the vet’s office. She gave the best snuggles and loved whipped cream more than any other treat. She was such a cool puppy and we miss her very much.” 

She sounds like one crazy pup and we hope these socks help bring back all the fun memories, and a smile to your face.

At sockprints we get loads of great requests every day for custom printed socks, but once in a while we get a request that is especially unique. Recently we received such an awesome and sweet request that we just had to share it. 

A customer wrote us to see if we could help her create some fun and comfy socks to give to her mom for Mother’s Day. She wrote, “My mom used to only wear Belgian shoes and Jack Rogers...She is in a wheel chair due to ALS and sneakers have been the most comfortable for her, but needless to say she is a little sad to hang up her old shoes. It is possible to print the socks to look like her old shoes...to be light hearted and fun?”

We loved this idea, and with a little back and forth we were able to make these awesome socks that look just like the Belgian shoes her mother had worn for years. We are so happy to help create this custom gift and we thank our customer for sharing her story with us.

These men's socks fit a standard sock size 10-13, US men's shoe size 8-12. Cotton blend -Machine wash warm, non-chlorine bleach only, and tumble dry. The custom printing is hand processed in sunny Southern California, and the socks are made in Taiwan. 

 

 

Custom Printed Team Socks – Volleyball

If you’re familiar with our beginnings, sockprints was founded on the sidelines of a soccer field by my business partner and me when our daughters were on the same club soccer team a few years ago. Our first pairs of socks we printed were for the girls on the team and when the socks were a hit we knew we were on to something!

Since our soccer days we have printed socks for all kinds of team sports: basketball, football, lacrosse, tennis, wrestling, and more. Our ability to customize each sock in the pair makes what we do so incredibly unique. For example, we can print team socks with a mascot on one sock and a player name and number on the other sock. All kinds of combinations are available!

My daughter is off to college and now it’s my son’s turn for club sports. His passion is volleyball and we thought his team should enjoy some custom printed socks too. My son’s coach gave us the club logo and we got to work. They look great on the court and our ½ cushion crew sock is perfect for performance.
