We recently entered the FedEx Small Business Grant contest and while we didn’t win a grant we were thrilled to learn that out of thousands of applications we made the top 15! Woo hoo!

In honor of Endangered Species Day we interrupt our regularly scheduled Pet-Photo-Friday post to highlight this beautiful big cat, the Amur Leopard, on our awesome custom photo socks. 

 

A native to the Primorye and Jilin regions of southeast Russian and northeast China, the Amur Leopard was classified as critically endangered in 1996 due to poaching and habitat loss from agricultural and urban development. With help from the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance, the Phoenix Fund, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, the number of Amur Leopards has grown and today it is estimated that there are around 60 individuals living in the wild.

Pet Photo Friday - FOMO Cameron

It’s Pet-Photo-Friday and time to share another pet photo custom printed on our socks!

We are happy to introduce you to Cameron, this week’s furry friend featured on our full-print no-show socks. Cameron has severe FOMO and doesn’t like to miss out on anything. Whether it’s chasing and catching lizards by the beach, planting himself in the middle of the kitchen while the family is cooking, or helping mom work at the computer, Cameron is always in the middle the action (except when he is napping). Pet Photo Friday - Danna's Pet Posse

It’s Pet-Photo-Friday and time to share not just one pet photo on custom printed socks, but 9 pet photos! Yep, that’s right… 2 dogs, 3 cats and 4 horses all nicely arranged in a photo collage on our full-print socks.

Truly Custom Socks are Just an Idea Away

At sockprints we get loads of great requests every day for custom printed socks, but once in a while we get a request that is especially unique. Recently we received such an awesome and sweet request that we just had to share it. 

A customer wrote us to see if we could help her create some fun and comfy socks to give to her mom for Mother’s Day. She wrote, “My mom used to only wear Belgian shoes and Jack Rogers...She is in a wheel chair due to ALS and sneakers have been the most comfortable for her, but needless to say she is a little sad to hang up her old shoes. It is possible to print the socks to look like her old shoes...to be light hearted and fun?”

We loved this idea, and with a little back and forth we were able to make these awesome socks that look just like the Belgian shoes her mother had worn for years. We are so happy to help create this custom gift and we thank our customer for sharing her story with us.

The customer who created these socks shared with us, “My wife is a sock fanatic and we love our rescue Chuck so I had to get her a few pairs with his happy face on it. She loved them so much this is actually my second order that is going to be one of her second wedding anniversary gifts (cotton!).”

Custom Printed Team Socks – Volleyball

If you’re familiar with our beginnings, sockprints was founded on the sidelines of a soccer field by my business partner and me when our daughters were on the same club soccer team a few years ago. Our first pairs of socks we printed were for the girls on the team and when the socks were a hit we knew we were on to something!

Since our soccer days we have printed socks for all kinds of team sports: basketball, football, lacrosse, tennis, wrestling, and more. Our ability to customize each sock in the pair makes what we do so incredibly unique. For example, we can print team socks with a mascot on one sock and a player name and number on the other sock. All kinds of combinations are available!

My daughter is off to college and now it’s my son’s turn for club sports. His passion is volleyball and we thought his team should enjoy some custom printed socks too. My son’s coach gave us the club logo and we got to work. They look great on the court and our ½ cushion crew sock is perfect for performance.

Think Pink - Personalized Breast Cancer Awareness Socks!

It’s that time of the year when we keep encouraging all the strong women battling breast cancer, remember those who lost the battle, and increase awareness of the disease.

This month’s spotlight is on sockprints’ friend, Lourdes who was diagnosed in August 2013 with breast cancer.  With a strong mind and an encouraging family, Lourdes never had any doubt in beating the disease.  During the process she lost her hair, battled with fatigue and weakness but always had a smile and a positive outlook.  Just a couple months after having a mastectomy and a couple rounds of chemotherapy, she was able to have strength to go back to work a couple times a week.  She is currently in her last round of chemotherapy!  Stay strong Lourdes!

Being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are happy to share our latest collection of Breast Cancer socks!  We have added some new designs to our collection!  Check out our socks on our Etsy shop.  These awesome socks would be great gifts to anyone who is dealing or dealt with breast cancer!
