Congrats South Soccer (sock-er for Happy Soles)!

WARNING:  if you don’t want to hear how great my daughter’s high school soccer team was this year, skip to the picture of the cute socks (ha-ha)!

So, can a soccer mom brag?  Absolutely, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do!  My daughter is a senior at South High School in Torrance, California on the varsity soccer team and they had an unbelievable 2013 season.  Their record of 26 wins, 6 ties and only 1 loss is incredible!  Unfortunately the loss came in the CIF semi-finals in overtime, ending their undefeated season.  While it was a heart-breaking loss coming up just short of reaching the championship game, the overall accomplishments of this team are nothing short of fabulous!  The final rankings put this team at 21st in the nation (the whole U.S.A!), 10th in the state of California (a huge state!), and 6th in Southern California!  WOW!

For a party favor at the annual varsity soccer banquet, I created some custom printed socks for the graduating seniors.  The intentionally mis-matched socks capture the team’s accomplishments of the season on sockprints’ bright green neon no-show socks.  A fun way to remember the highlights of the season!

Off to College!

Off to College!

For those of you who are not familiar with our story, sockprints was founded by two soccer moms in 2009 on the sidelines of a soccer field while watching our daughters play.  Week in and week out as the girls were competing on the field, we were brainstorming and building our business venture.  Just as our sockprints business has grown, so have our daughters and their aspirations of playing collegiate soccer.  While my daughter still has another year in high school, I’m thrilled my business partner’s daughter is off to play college soccer at Pepperdine University!

Sending her to college without some custom socks wouldn’t be very cool, so we came up with these gems.  Good luck in the classroom and on the soccer field!  Go Pepperdine Waves!

It’s been a fun summer hearing about our friends’ kids and their post high school plans.  While some are off to play collegiate sports, others are getting ready to go through Sorority Recruitment (Rush - as us old timers still call it).  As I gladly wrote letters of recommendation for some young ladies, I recalled many fond collegiate sorority memories.  Best wishes to these women as they embark on Greek life!  I’m hoping they keep in touch and let me know which sorority they joined so I can send them some personalized sorority socks to say congrats!  We’re an official Greek licensed vendor for 10 national sororities and we even have our own sorority sockprints website.

For those die-hard college football fans out there, custom socks are the perfect way to cheer for your team!  Create your own fan wear socks to wear in front of your big screen TV or ship a set to your college student.  Everyone loves getting a care package and to make your gift giving hassle free, we will ship your sock creations directly to your favorite college football fan.

Get Well Wishes

As many of our readers know, Sockprints was founded on the sidelines of a soccer field by two soccer moms in the winter of 2009. As soccer moms watching our kids play over the years we've unfortunately seen plenty of injuries. Soccer is one tough sport and we admire the athletes who take the challenge on the field game after game, and especially after injury.

Our latest sock inspiration came while visiting an injured soccer player. During a college showcase tournament, she suffered injuries to her arm and knee. After two surgeries this athlete is now on the mend for the next few months. Sending her wishes for a speedy recovery, custom printed "get well" socks are on the way to her front door! We look forward to seeing you back on the soccer field!

What are Kick "A#$" Sport Socks?

As sockprints develops our sock customizing e-boutique, we love the response and reaction we are getting when people see the printed socks. All kinds of ideas start coming out of them, and who would have thought anyone would get excited about socks? It really is a great way to print all kinds of designs, and we use the same type of special printer used for other apparel items, so we can get amazing detail on the socks.

A couple weeks ago we decided to start developing collections of ready-to-sell printed socks that are unique, meaningful, and a little "out of the box". The first selection is geared toward a group we know very well - teen girls who play competitive sports. These athletes are fun loving, smart, and experiencing so many life lessons while being part of a team. We also know firsthand they can have an attitude which actually works well when playing a competitive sport.

Our Kick "A#$" sport socks originated as a recent request from our teen athletes who have a passion for their sport of choice (soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball) and wanted fun socks to wear to practice and hanging out with friends. When a discussion came up about what is really said to each other in the game day huddle the overwhelming response was, "Let's go kick A--". Naturally we thought it wouldn't be appropriate to spell out certain words on the socks, but have left little to the imagination.

These knee high sport socks are available as a two pair set along with a friendlier "peace, love" design for $22.00/set, and through the month of May you can take an additional 20% off as special introduction to our new product line.

When we showed the printed socks to the girls, we got the squeal of approval. Check them out at http://www.sockprints.com
