Photo Friday - Graduation Edition - Wearable Scrapbook

It’s graduation season! It can be a nerve wracking and exciting time as it represents a maturation, an end to some of the greatest chapters of life, and the beginning of new chapters.

One of our customers came up with a great way to commemorate special memories and celebrate the accomplishments of her graduating friends. She reached out to us through our SockprintsOnEtsy shop. She created these personalized full-print photo socks. These socks are a wearable scrapbook, with photos of her friend’s childhood, major accomplishments, family, and hobbies all from this chapter of their life. They make the perfect graduation gift and I’m sure will bring a smile to her friend’s faces for years to come.

Want a pair of these photo-collage socks personalized for your graduate? Upload your photos and design your own at sockprints or send us an email and our design team can help you create your very own pair!

#RockOneSock for America's Missing Children

We learned about #RockOneSock from a customer who asked us to print photos of missing children in America on our no-show socks. We were touched by her story and wanted to hear more. After reaching out to our customer via email and doing some online research about RockOneSock and National Missing Children Day we committed ourselves to wearing one sock on May 25, 2016.

On National Missing Children Day we rocked one sock! We challenge you to post your own “footsie” (foot version of selfie!) on social media, challenge your friends to #rockonesock, or make a donation to support the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

We’ll send our customers an exclusive coupon for 15% off their next sockprints order when we see a photo of them wearing only one custom printed sock by sockprints, with hashtags #sockprints and #rockonesock on Instagram and Twitter.

A few numbers about missing kids in America:
  • According to the FBI 460,699 reports of missing children were made in 2015
  • NCMEC assisted law enforcement with more than 13,700 cases of missing children in 2015
  • In 2015 the CyberTipline received more than 4,400,000 reports related to child sexual exploitation

In honor of Endangered Species Day we interrupt our regularly scheduled Pet-Photo-Friday post to highlight this beautiful big cat, the Amur Leopard, on our awesome custom photo socks.

A native to the Primorye and Jilin regions of southeast Russian and northeast China, the Amur Leopard was classified as critically endangered in 1996 due to poaching and habitat loss from agricultural and urban development. With help from the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance, the Phoenix Fund, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, the number of Amur Leopards has grown and today it is estimated that there are around 60 individuals living in the wild.

If you want to learn more about this beautiful animal or want to donate to help in the preservation of their species please visit http://www.altaconservation.org
