The Pink Badge of Courage

A year ago in October of 2010, Sockprints created custom printed socks for the annual Girl’s Night Out event held at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California to raise money for the Cancer Support Community (formerly The Wellness Community).  A year has passed and Torrance Memorial Hospital once again contacted us to create a unique take-home gift for the 240+ women in attendance at this year’s event.

In addition to the amazement that another year has flown by and the annual event is already here, I’m amazed and inspired by the women in attendance and especially those who share their breast cancer survivor stories.  I’m also in awe of the generosity of those in our community who make the event possible.  Thank you Torrance Memorial for thinking of Sockprints again this year and for the opportunity to share in this magical event.

The color pink and the pink ribbon are symbols of hope and a commitment to the cause.  There are many opportunities for us to show our support for breast cancer awareness and if you’re looking for some inspiration we have a few new ideas.
