Sockprints fan and friend Anne Marie Quillin, was a featured speaker sharing her breast cancer survivor story that night. Her story is an inspiration to all! We also heard from Dr. Patricia Sacks who mentioned new developments for breast cancer treatment, and reminded us that the best medicine is laughter… so fitting for the comedy show that followed!
In addition to the great information and stories shared, I am always touched by the people who live in my community and contribute to events like this. I am truly grateful to those who volunteer and work at places like The Wellness Community and Torrance Memorial Hospital. I’m also inspired by the individual and corporate sponsors who donate to this cause. From individual women breaking out their checkbooks at the auction, and Shape Shift, our neighborhood pilates studio, to Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes -- all donations raised over $90,000 for the 3-night event. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention the generosity of the comedians and the Comedy & Magic Club.
For those of you who were at the event check your goodie bag for a special coupon to use on your next online purchase at www.sockprints.com. We’re offering 10% off your order and we’ll also donate 10% to The Wellness Community through the month of November.
For those of you who shared our Girls Night Out event by reading our blog, we’re offering you the same special! Use the coupon code “GNO-BLOG” and you too will receive 10% off your order and we’ll donate 10% to the Wellness Community in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Thanks ladies for the ooh’s and ahh’s about our socks and for a great Girls Night Out!
